  2. Green means the letter is in the right place. Green letters are locked.
  3. Yellow means the word running through that square needs this letter, but in a different place.
  4. Grey means no word through that square needs this letter anywhere else.
  5. Fix all six words before you run out of swaps. Every grid can be solved in 10 swaps, which keeps 5 spare.
